Lots of people don’t think that they’re pretty, worthy, or loved. Girls who think they’re fat get lower grades on tests than those who don’t. Sixty percent choose not to participate in activities because they feel unattractive. On average, there are 132 suicides per day.
Sad, right? People see no purpose in life. They don’t think they’re good enough. There are other reasons why, too.
Now, I hope you’ve never thought about committing suicide yourself. Because you’re too valuable!
Psalms 139:13-14 says: For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Proverbs 31:10 says: A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds.
You see that? Worth more than diamonds.
One thing that I realized a few months ago is: Did you know, God took 1 WEEK creating the whole universe: Niagara Falls, the Amazon Rainforest, the Grand Canyon (you get the point)…but he takes 9 MONTHS creating – you guessed it – YOU! He takes 9 months creating and perfecting YOU.
I was a week late from my due date, so I like to tell people, “I was a week late. God needed extra time on me!” In other words: God spent extra time making me…well, ME! And I know he’s going to use me in some way to impact the world and to make it a better place – and He’s gonna use you, too!
You’re worth a lot – to God, to your parents, to your grandparents…. So don’t ever, ever, EVER say or think that you’re not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough…God made YOU to be YOU. And He made you perfectly.
Wonderful truth… wonderfully written. It’s so refreshing to read your heart and get an “inside” look at what’s going on in that pretty head of yours
Wow, this is really good!
😀
