Devo – Loved

Have you ever felt unloved? Or not cared for? I bet everybody has at least once. It’s not a good feeling; is it? The feeling of not being wanted, not being worthy or good enough…. It’s not fun, but it’s also not true.

Romans 5:8 says: But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

1 Chronicles 16:34 and Psalms 118:29 say: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

FOREVER. Never-ending. Till the end of time.

God didn’t have to love us. In fact, He has every right to not love us. But He still does. So much so, that he sent His son Jesus to come on earth and die for us. But that wasn’t it, no…three days later, He, Jesus, rose from the dead. THE DEAD. He conquered the grave. He defeated death, for you and for me. Now, I don’t know about you, but that’s an awesome God.

He loves you so much that he was willing to be crucified for you…for me…for everyone!

Search for Bible verses that talk about how much God loves us – and trust me, there’s a LOT!

If I’m being honest with you, I can’t really think of a time that I felt unloved. I’m surrounded by love ALL. THE. TIME. By God, by my parents, by my goofy siblings, and by my other friends and family.

So take a look around. I bet you’re surrounded, too.

Question: Was there ever a time in your life where you felt unloved or unworthy? How did God help you get past that feeling?
