MADE NEW

Hey everyone! Just wanted to come on here quick to share something:

My first thought when I got up this morning was –

UGH. SNOW? ISN’T IT, LIKE, THE MIDDLE OF APRIL?

– which is true, yes, it is the middle of April. I’m one of those people that LOVES snow…just not after mid-March. (Any of you with me? Comment!)

Wanna know something funny? About a month ago, when I came upstairs and saw that we had surprisingly gotten snow, the first thing that went through my mind was, “I’m dreaming of a white…Easter….” (You know, like the song? Except the song says Christmas).

As you all know (or did you forget already?!), yesterday was Easter. Yesterday Jesus rose from the dead (well, technically it was 2000ish years ago, but we celebrated it yesterday).

Now, I have no idea why we got snow today, it could just be totally random, but today, as I was texting a friend (yes, we were talking about the weather), I thought of something.

Snow is white. We were not. We were unclean. But Jesus came, and made us clean. He died for us. We are not longer consumed by sin, we are made new (2nd Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come). We are no longer in debt, for Jesus paid the price in full. We are now clean of our sins; we are made new.

Maybe God had it snow for us to see that; possibly not. But whether there is snow or not, remember:

Because of God’s great sacrifice,

You are now clean.

  3. I totally agree with you I love snow but then when it is getting warm I’m so happy and sometimes snow just ruins it. Anyways your devo was really good sometimes we just need a reminder and even know snow is not really a good thing right now it can teach us something if we just think about it.
