Hi Beardie Blog readers! Skywalker here; again. Sorry it’s been, like, months since I last posted. Summer is very busy, and, on top of that, the computer just randomly stopped working. So, just a few days ago, they FINALLY got a new one! Friends, the Beardie Blog is BACK!
I’m just about 15 inches long now. Almost full-grown. My birthday is coming up (October 27th!) and I’ll be 1 year old!
Charity has left me so much this summer. She said she’s done leaving me for now; at least for a while, which is good. I’ve spent so many days this summer trapped in my cage. But, finally, she should be around for a while now. She even said, once their school starts, she’ll let me help her with school (or more so sleep on her shoulder while she solves algebra problems, but don’t tell her I said that).
I’ve been shedding – Charity tells me to shed faster so she can clean out my cage. Right now, my upper back is white. I’ve shed just about all over except for there.
Charity says I’m a picky eater, but, hey – some foods taste bad. Charity has tried feeding me lots of different things, and there’s a few I would rather not eat, which are these things called strawberries and brussel sprouts. But I don’t mind kale; I’ve been eating lots of that lately (when nobody’s watching), I like cucumbers (Charity says they’re good for me cause they help me stay hydrated, but she has to cut them up really small for me and I can’t have them very often), blueberries (YUM! I’ve accidentally bitten Charity’s finger while eating this, but she said it didn’t hurt because my teeth are so tiny. HMPH! Tell that to the crickets I eat everyday), and I’ve tried some apple before which I didn’t mind. It’s a little tricky to eat, though. Charity had to feed it to me cause my tongue couldn’t pick it up.
They all keep saying I’m a cranky lizard when I’m in my cage, but wouldn’t you be cranky, too, if you were trapped inside a cage? Sometimes, when I’m really mad, I’ll puff my beard out (see bottom picture). Charity said I’ve gotten so much better at it since I was little.
Well, that’s all for today! Thanks for reading, and comment a food that you dislike.
I don’t like is asparagus ! I can’t believe that the computer broke. Glad you’re writing again! These are so well written and funny !
I don’t like cantaloupe or cherry pie. I got deathly sick on both of them many many years ago. And hey, Skywalker, don’t act like you had it so bad while Charity was gone! How about a shout out to Charity’s grandpa for feeding you crickets every day, giving you a bath, and and letting you run around in your playpen daily! haha
I was happy to see you shared another blog. You are very entertainiing. And I sure enjoyed getting to visit you the last couple of days while Charity and some of the family went camping. When I helped serve you the crickets, you sure gobbled them down. . As a result you definitely are getting big. Those crickets and kale are obviously nourishing for you. We are all enjoying having you be a part of our family!
P.S. I am happy for you that Charity will be able now to spend more time with you.
I think Zoe missed her too.
I hate zucchini.
Smog misses the posts and is glad you are back at it!
